Louise has still been working on the MEP maths unit of Indices. She has been working through the set exercises and has made good progress and completed the unit with very good results. She will start a new unit after the mid session break.
In English she has been continuing to read Romeo and Juliet and has been producing an analysis on the characters that have been in the play up to this stage and been developing individual sheets on each.
In Geography all the three girls have been studying the water cycle. They have all produced their own sheets showing the various stages of the cycle.
In history Louise is still working on the unit on the changes in medicine 1845 - 1945.
Katie has continued with her numeracy and literacy work. Numeracy this week was concentrated mainly on multiplication and division. Katie worked through the questions but is still struggling with them but is getting there with guidance.
Literacy has seen Katie start her news book where she writes about the various events in the news which have caught her interest. She has produced some excellent descriptive articles and enjoys this type of writing.

SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2013
The afternoon of Saturday 21st September 2013 saw the Circus Starr come to town. The girls were given the opportunity to visit this circus for charity because of the kind donation of tickets from the Blackpool Young Carers Charity.
The girls had ringside seats for the performance and were able to see everything and enjoy the variety of performers.
There was a variety of performers all introduced by the Ringmaster.
There were trapize artists,
high level acrobats,
the amazing balancing Lady,
there was an opportunity to have pictures taken with Circus animals during the interval,
as well as being able to purchase snacks and the all important light up souvenires,
death defying spinning high flying performers,
the magical magician,
the brilliant tribal dancing acrobats,
the wonderfully funny clown,
and the show finale.

Then it was time to go home after a wonderfull time was had by all.
Lily and Katie will be doing work based on their visit to the Circus next week.
