WK 4 - SEPTEMBER 30TH 2013

Our learning week beginning Monday 30th September 2013

Louise has still been working on the MEP maths unit of Indices. She has been working through the set exercises and has made good progress and completed the unit with very good results. She will start a new unit after the mid session break.

In English she has been continuing to read Romeo and Juliet and has been producing an analysis on the characters that have been in the play up to this stage and been developing individual sheets on each.

In Geography all the three girls have been studying the water cycle. They have all produced their own sheets showing the various stages of the cycle.

In history Louise is still working on the unit on the changes in medicine 1845 - 1945.

Katie has continued with her numeracy and literacy work. Numeracy this week was concentrated mainly on multiplication and division. Katie worked through the questions but is still struggling with them but is getting there with guidance.

Literacy has seen Katie start her news book where she writes about the various events in the news which have caught her interest. She has produced some excellent descriptive articles and enjoys this type of writing.

Katie has produced her water cycle poster in Geography.

Lily has continued using the maths and English work books. Lily again has worked really well and always looks forward to doing her work. She has also completed a poster about the water cycle.

Like usual they all worked well and are really enjoying their studies. Well done girls!

Once again Lily and Katie have also been to the youth club at Blackpool Young Carers, visited the library and been to the park and swimming.

Louise also went to her  2 youth groups at FCBI - Fylde  Coast Be Involved as well as volunteering at the Carers Charity shop and also the Young Carers Youth clubs.

Another great week and the girls are looking forward to their holiday next week.
