RED NOSE DAY - 13TH MARCH 2015

Today has been a day of fun and silliness with a bit of seriousness thrown in for good measure (a bit like most days actually!) Katie and Lily have been celebrating Red Nose Day at our Home school.

The silliness started at breakfast when even the toast turned funny and the fun carried on from there.

They both designed and made their own tops for their technology and craft lesson.

Even the maths had a Red Nose and charity theme to it.

There was a serious side though when they watched reports on YouTube about the way the charity collects and distributes resources and the wide spread work that the charity does.

There was also a point during the day when they watched parts of the service from St.Pauls Cathedral that honoured members of the armed forces past and present who served in Afghanistan, as well as the various operational staff who were based in the UK during the 13-year war.

A parade and a flypast of eight aircraft then took place in central London, watched by the royals and politicians as well as the crowds who had gathered outside the cathedral.

It was a wonderful way to end the week and end our term before our holidays start. Well done girls you have worked really well and deserve a nice break.
